Tonia Hassinger - Program Services Director
Tonia Hassinger joined DSA, Inc. in 2003 as the Program Development Coordinator. She took a hiatus for 2 years when her family moved out of the country and returned to DSA, Inc. as the Program Services Director in September, 2007. Ms. Hassinger has 25 years experience working with people with disabilities. She has served in a variety of job roles including direct care, social worker, residential director, QMRP, program development, and administrator. Ms. Hassinger earned her B.A. from Wheaton College and her Master of Arts from the University of Chicago. Some of Ms. Hassinger’s accomplishments include developing alternative living options for people when the waiver program began in Indiana, transitioning people to the community from long term institutional settings, developing training modules for staff, and creating community based living programs for people with disabilities in Tennessee. Her most significant accomplishment over the years has been the friendships she has made with people with disabilities.
